    Overview

A 10-day multi-state PvP event for control of volcanic energy.

    The one thing to know
The volcano releases energy crucial for equipment upgrades. States are paired Attacker vs. Defender, fight a 1-hour battle on Day 6, and the camp with the higher Camp Points wins the prize pool.

Volcanic activity has intensified. Scientists predict a massive multi-state eruption, releasing vast energy crucial for equipment upgrades. A fierce war for control is inevitable.

    The Core Loop

    Groups are revealed
System matches states by overall strength into Attacker vs. Defender pairs.
    Recruit ungrouped states
Presidents negotiate, then officially invite — bigger camp = bigger pool.
    One-hour battle
Day 6 at 12:00 Apocalypse Time. Fight inside the volcanic area for buildings.
    Camp with more points wins
Spoils distributed by Presidents → R4/R5 → members. One reward share per survivor.
Survivors not grouped through Comms/Invitation are auto-allocated by the system — but auto-allocated states don't add to the prize pool and aren't eligible for reward distribution. Get into a camp before System Allocation.

    Why this event is different

Most Last Z events reward whichever account already has the biggest power number. Volcano War is a camp event first — your state's outcome depends on who you recruit and how well the whole camp fights for one hour, not on any single player's stats. That's why a smaller state with an active President and good Discord coordination can out-recruit and out-multiply a bigger, disorganized one before Day 6 even starts.

It's also one of the few events where the reward pool itself is a variable you control. A base pool multiplied by two successful invites and it's already ×4 before a single unit fights. Skip recruitment and fight anyway, and you're competing for a pool a quarter the size of your rival camp's — that gap usually decides the event more than the battle itself.

    The 10-Day Schedule

    Hard Mode

    VW-04

    Hard Mode

Defender-only choice that raises the stakes and the rewards.

    The one thing to know
Defenders can opt for Hard Mode during the Comms phase. It locks out partners, lets Attackers come from up to 3 States, but gives the Defender a powerful combat buff — and multiplies the reward pool by .

    Invitation Rules

    VW-05

    Invitation Rules

How states recruit allies before battle.

    The one thing to know
Each state can invite one other state at a time, and invitations expire after 1 hour. No response counts as rejection — keep negotiating in Discord first.
During the Invitation phase, each state may invite only one other state at a time.
Invitations last 1 hour. No response in 1 hour = automatic rejection.
During Comms (Day 2), Presidents may negotiate with ungrouped states informally before the official invite.
Successfully inviting a state boosts the camp's prize pool ×2.
States allocated automatically after the Invitation phase ends do NOT add to the pool and CANNOT claim rewards.
Negotiation tip: Promise post-combat spoil shares to convince ungrouped states. Spoil distribution is system-safeguarded — once partnership and distribution ratios are confirmed, they're enforced automatically.

    Battle Mechanics

    VW-06

    Battle Mechanics

The 1-hour combat phase on Day 6.

    The one thing to know
Battle starts Day 6 at 12:00 Apocalypse Time and lasts 1 hour. Camp with the higher total Camp Points wins.

    How Combat Works

States within the same camp must teleport to the designated Defender State.
When combat begins, all HQs inside the combat area get relocated outside. Teleport back in to participate.
Earn Camp Points by holding buildings and crushing enemies.
When time's up, the camp with the higher total Camp Points wins.
Spoils are distributed during the Reward Distribution phase. Each survivor claims only one share.

    Teleportation Rules

Random Teleports and Advanced Teleports do not work inside the volcanic core.
Use the in-event Battlefield Teleport to enter the combat area at the start.
Peace Shield is disabled in the core — there is no safe parking once you're in.
If your city gets relocated out at battle start, teleport back in immediately or you'll miss the early point swing.
The first 10 minutes decide the rhythm of the fight. Land on the Blackridge Volcano early — every second of control is +150 Camp Points to your camp.

    Rewards

    VW-07

    Rewards

Three reward systems stack: the camp pool, your camp's share, and your personal ranking.

    The one thing to know
The winning camp claims the full Prize Pool — multiplied by every successful invite (×2 per ally) and Hard Mode (×3). On top of that, every survivor earns Personal Ranking rewards based on their own Individual Points.

    The Prize Pool

The Prize Pool is funded by every state in a camp. Each grouped state contributes a base amount of high-value resources, hero shards, equipment materials and event currency. Successful invitations and Hard Mode multiply the total.

    Requirements

    VW-08

    Requirements

Who can participate and what you need before the event starts.

    The one thing to know
Volcano War is gated by HQ level and state age. Make sure you meet the threshold and are in an alliance with an active President before Day 1 — otherwise you can't be grouped.

    Eligibility

HQ level threshold — your state must have enough qualifying HQs to be grouped (check the in-game Others tab on your server).
State age — newly opened states are excluded until they reach the activation window.
Alliance membership — you must be in an alliance to claim camp rewards; the alliance must be active during the event.
Active President — your state needs an active President to negotiate, invite, and accept invitations. No President = no recruitment.

    What to Prepare

    Stockpile teleports
Battlefield, Random and Advanced Teleports — you'll burn through them on Day 6.
    Heal speedups
Hospitals will overflow. Stack healing speedups before battle.
    Peace Shield (outside core)
Keep one ready for between fights, since the core blocks shields.
    March slots & gear
Max marches and full PvP loadouts on every commander you'll send in.

    Strategy & Tips

    VW-09

    Strategy & Tips

Win the camp, then win the pool.

    The one thing to know
Recruitment wins the event before the fight starts. A camp with two invited allies has a 4× pool advantage and a numbers advantage that's hard to overcome in 60 minutes.

    Pre-Battle (Days 1–5)

Open Discord coordination with all paired states before Day 2. Don't wait for the official invite window.
Lock down spoil ratios in writing — system-safeguarded once confirmed, so promises actually stick.
Decide Hard Mode by end of Day 2 if you're a strong Defender state. The 3× multiplier is huge.

    During Battle (Day 6)

Send your strongest rallies to Blackridge Volcano first. +150 Camp Pts/s is the largest single lever on the map.
Split B-team marches onto Energy Towers and Lava Furnaces — the +10% Camp Pts and +20% DMG buffs compound.
Park solo accounts on Energy Mines for cheap Individual Points while the main fight rages.
Hunt low-shielded HQs that just got relocated back in — they're sitting at +120 Individual Pts per 10K Power.

    Common Mistakes

Skipping Comms because "we'll just fight." Auto-allocated states earn zero rewards — even if they win.
Forgetting that Peace Shield doesn't work in the core. Don't burn one and assume you're safe.
Leaving the Volcano contested while farming small mines. Mines pay you; the Volcano pays your camp.
Bottom line: recruit hard, focus the Volcano, and keep hunting Power. Camps that do all three walk away with the full multiplied pool.

Trade-offs: why the "obvious" play isn't always right

Hard Mode looks like the strongest option on paper — a flat ×3 pool multiplier beats even two successful invites (×4 total, but that's two states' worth of negotiation and shared spoils). The catch is you're locked out of allies and facing up to 3 attacking states alone with only a combat buff to compensate. If your state's HQ count and coordination can't realistically hold the core against three attackers, the ×3 pool is worthless because you lose the battle. Hard Mode is a play for states that are already strong Defenders, not a shortcut for weak ones chasing a bigger number.

There's a similar trade-off inside the hour itself: sit on the Volcano the whole fight for the +150 Camp Pts/s, or split off marches to farm Individual Points on enemy HQs and mines. Camp Points decide who wins the pool; Individual Points decide your personal ranking reward. Neither is "wrong," but an entire camp farming mines while nobody holds the Volcano loses the fight that actually matters most for rewards. The read here: keep your main force on the core, and only peel off enough marches to farm Individual Points without giving up map control.

    Timeline Walkthrough

    VW-10

    Timeline Walkthrough

What each of the 10 days actually feels like from inside a state.

    The one thing to know
Nine days of politics and prep for one hour of combat. Most camps win or lose Volcano War before Day 6 even starts.

    Day 1 — Publicity

Groupings go live. This is the moment your state finds out if it's an Attacker or a Defender, and who its paired opponent is. Ungrouped states also get listed here — if your state isn't in a pair yet, this is your cue to start reaching out immediately instead of waiting for Comms to officially open.

    Day 2 — Comms

Presidents start informal negotiation with ungrouped states. This is also the deadline for a Defender to decide on Hard Mode. Waiting past Day 2 to start talking to potential allies is the single biggest reason camps end up with a smaller pool than their rivals — the good, active ungrouped states get scooped up fast.

    Days 3–4 — Invitation

Official invites go out. Remember, each state can only have one invite active at a time and it expires in an hour with no response counting as a rejection — if your Day 2 groundwork was solid, this phase is just a formality. If it wasn't, you're now racing the clock against other camps also fishing for the same ungrouped states.

    Day 5 — Battle Prep

Tactics day. Confirm who's rallying the Volcano first, who's peeling off to Energy Towers and Furnaces, and who's parking on mines. Stockpile teleports and healing speedups now — Day 6 is not the day to discover you're out of either.

    Day 6 — Battle

The one hour that decides everything. Starts at 12:00 Apocalypse Time. Land on Blackridge Volcano immediately — every second of uncontested control is +150 Camp Points to your side, and early control snowballs because it's genuinely hard to dislodge a dug-in force from the core mid-fight.

    Days 7–10 — Reward Distribution

Days 7–8 are Presidents dividing the camp pool between alliances. Days 9–10 are R4/R5 pushing that down to members. If your alliance's leadership is slow here, follow up — spoil ratios are system-enforced once confirmed, but someone still has to confirm them.

    Common Mistakes

    VW-11

    Common Mistakes

The recurring errors that cost camps the pool.

    The one thing to know
Almost every Volcano War loss traces back to something that happened before Day 6, not during it.
Waiting until the Invitation phase to start recruiting.By Days 3–4 the best ungrouped states are already talking to three other camps. Fix: open Comms on Day 2, the moment the window allows it.
Choosing Hard Mode without the strength to defend it.The ×3 pool is meaningless if you can't hold the core against 3 attacking states. Fix: only take Hard Mode if your state can realistically win the fight, not just the multiplier.
Everyone rushing the Volcano and leaving Energy Towers and Furnaces empty. Those buildings' Camp Point and damage buffs compound with holding the core. Fix: split off a secondary force once the Volcano is secure.
Forgetting Peace Shield doesn't work in the volcanic core.Players get caught assuming they're safe between fights and lose troops to a surprise hit. Fix: treat the core as always-hot — no shield, no teleport-out safety net.
Not confirming spoil ratios before the fight.Verbal promises during Comms don't distribute themselves. Fix: lock ratios in through the system before Day 6 so distribution is enforced automatically.
Sitting out because your state got auto-allocated.Auto-allocated states can't earn rewards no matter how hard they fight. Fix: this is a recruitment failure, not a battle one — get into a camp during Comms/Invitation next time, every time.

    FAQ

Quick answers to the questions we get most about Volcano War.

    Frequently Asked Questions

The event runs 10 days total, but the actual combat is a single 1-hour battle on Day 6 at 12:00 Apocalypse Time. Everything else is recruitment (Days 1-5) and reward distribution (Days 7-10).

Hard Mode is a Defender-only choice made during the Comms phase. It locks the Defender out of inviting allies and lets up to 3 Attacker states come at them, but grants a powerful combat buff and multiplies the total prize pool by 3x — the biggest multiplier in the event.

If you're not grouped through Comms or Invitation by the end of that phase, the system auto-allocates you. Auto-allocated states don't add to the prize pool and can't claim rewards, even if they fight.

Blackridge Volcano at the map center — it gives +150 Camp Points/s and +100 Individual Points/s, more than double the next-best building. Whoever controls it for most of the hour has a huge lead.

No to both. Random and Advanced Teleports don't work inside the volcanic core, and Peace Shield can't be activated there either. Use the in-event Battlefield Teleport to enter, and treat the core as always contestable.

Three layers stack: the total Prize Pool (multiplied by invites or Hard Mode), your camp's distribution of that pool through Presidents then R4/R5, and a separate Personal Ranking reward based purely on your own Individual Points, independent of whether your camp won.
