Events — Where the Real Rewards Come From
Updated 7 Aug 2026 · 5 min readIf you're only doing your daily tasks and ignoring events, you're leaving most of the game's best rewards on the table. Events are where Last Z really opens up — and where the gap between organised players and casual players becomes very visible very fast.
Some events reward raw individual power, others reward alliance coordination, and a couple reward showing up consistently more than anything else. Knowing which type you're looking at changes how you should prepare for it.
Canyon Clash
Canyon Clash runs on Fridays and it's a full alliance territory event. Your alliance fights for zones on a special map. The rewards are strong and coordination makes a massive difference here. Even if your power is low, showing up and doing whatever your alliance asks still contributes.
Furylord
Furylord is a regular event where you fight a powerful boss. Your individual damage contribution is what earns rewards. Build up combat power before this one and show up ready to hit hard.
Zombie Siege
Zombie Siege is a wave defense event. Thirty waves of increasingly tough enemies. The War Frenzy timing matters a lot here — your R5 should be coordinating reinforcements across the alliance.
The Tyrant
The Tyrant is another boss event, this one focused on steel farming alongside the fight. Good source of resources and worth participating in consistently. Turning on Engage Offline means your troops still join a rally even if you're asleep when it fires.
Battle Fortress HQ
Battle Fortress HQ is a timed construction event where the alliance shares a fortress to defend and upgrade. One of the better sources of rare materials when the alliance is genuinely coordinated.
Check your event calendar every single day. Events you miss entirely can't be retroactively claimed. Even five minutes of participation is better than zero on most events.
Priorities by HQ Stage
Early Game
Focus on the events that don't require power to matter — Zombie Siege waves, daily tasks, and just showing up for Canyon Clash and Battle Fortress HQ as your alliance directs. You won't win Furylord damage races yet and that's fine. Just don't skip events entirely because you feel "too weak" — even small badge contributions matter for your Alliance Recognition research over time.
Mid Game
This is when boss events like Furylord and The Tyrant start actually paying off, because your combat power is high enough to land meaningful damage. Start planning your speed-up spending around the event calendar instead of burning it on random building upgrades the day before. Enable Engage Offline for Tyrant rallies so overnight windows aren't wasted.
Late Game
At this stage you're likely in R4/R5 territory or leading squads within these events. Coordinating others — timing reinforcements for Zombie Siege, assigning zones for Canyon Clash — becomes as important as your own personal output. Your event calendar discipline should be near-perfect by now.
Common Mistakes
- Skipping events because your power feels too low. Alliance events like Canyon Clash still reward participation. Fix: show up regardless and follow your alliance's instructions.
- Burning speed-ups the day before a big event. Then there's nothing left to spend when it actually matters. Fix: check the calendar before any large upgrade spend.
- Forgetting to enable Engage Offline for Tyrant rallies. Overnight rally windows get missed entirely. Fix: turn it on once and forget about it.
- Not reading the War Frenzy timing during Zombie Siege. Reinforcements arrive at the wrong moment and waves get overrun. Fix: let your R5 call the timing and follow it.
- Checking the event calendar only once a week. Short-window events get missed completely. Fix: make checking the calendar part of your daily login routine.
- Treating boss events as solo content. Furylord and The Tyrant reward damage contribution, but showing up under-prepared wastes the attempt. Fix: build combat power ahead of time and time your best gear/hero setup for the fight window.

Frequently Asked Questions
It's gone. Events in Last Z aren't retroactively claimable — if you don't participate while it's live, the rewards for that run are lost. Check your event calendar daily so nothing sneaks past you.
No. Alliance-wide events like Canyon Clash and Battle Fortress HQ reward participation and coordination, not just raw power. Even a low-power account contributes by showing up and following R5 instructions.
Zombie Siege and the daily/weekly tasks feeding into it are the easiest entry point — you don't need huge power, just troops to throw at waves. Canyon Clash is also beginner-friendly since it's about alliance coordination, not solo strength.
Alliance Duel is the alliance-wide event that's your main badge source. Badges feed Alliance Recognition research, which in turn increases your weekly rewards — so it's worth prioritizing over almost everything else on duel days.
Yes. Spending your best speed-ups on a random building upgrade the day before an event is one of the most common regrets players have. Check the calendar before committing big resources.
Your individual damage contribution during the fight determines your rewards — build up combat power beforehand and show up ready to hit hard rather than joining late with a weak setup.
