Alliance Duel — How to Actually Win It

    Updated 7 Aug 2026 · 6 min read

Alliance Duel is the event your entire weekly routine should be built around. I'm not exaggerating. The badges you earn here unlock Alliance Recognition research, and Alliance Recognition research multiplies the badges you earn from future duels. It feeds itself. Getting ahead of the curve on this is the difference between players who feel like they're grinding forever and players who feel like the game is accelerating.

Two separate windows — not one long 08:00–00:00 block. The theme rotates every four hours and the 20:00 block repeats the 08:00 theme, so the same items double-dip in both. Between 12:00 and 20:00 Apocalypse Time there is no double-dip.

    20+ members

Your alliance needs at least 20 members to qualify for the duel.

    6 themed days

One enemy alliance. Higher points wins the day; highest total by Sunday wins the duel.

    Switching costs you

Swap alliance mid-duel and you can't score for the new one that Apocalypse day — you lose that day's ranking and victory rewards. Personal points and chests still count.

    MVP of the Day

Highest personal points on a day takes the MVP slot.

    Points Sprint

Last 10 minutes before daily tally shows live point changes — but no extra bonuses apply in that window.

    Day 4 catch

Levelling heroes scores nothing. Points come from fragments, equipment and recruits.

    How the Duel Actually Works

    Right resource · right day

Six days, a different theme each day. The same resources spent on the right day earn dramatically more points than on the wrong day — saving research speed-ups for Day 3 isn't a suggestion, it's a completely different result.

Day 3 is Age of Science, the day you live for. Stop spending badges randomly during the week. Save them all. Spend them on Day 3.

    Three fixable leaks

    01

    #1 mistake

    Wrong-day spending

Speed-ups and badges burned outside their correct day. Genuinely the biggest score killer.

Life happens, but partial participation still counts. A few hundred badges a week becomes thousands over a couple of months.

    ALLIANCE DUEL FAQ

What day of Alliance Duel is worth the most points?

Day 3, Age of Science. Badges spent on Alliance Recognition research score far more there than anywhere else in the week, so hold every badge you earn until Wednesday.

When does Alliance Duel reset each day?

At 00:00 Apocalypse Time, which is UTC−2. Convert that to your own clock before you plan a spending session, or you will dump resources into the wrong theme.

How many chests should I target per week?

Six or more. That is the realistic floor for a free-to-play account that saves the right items for the right day and does not waste speed-ups off-theme.

Does Chinatsu matter for Alliance Duel?

Yes. Her third skill adds up to a 55% badge bonus, she is free, and the bonus compounds because badges feed Alliance Recognition, which raises future badge income.

Do my own troop losses cost points on Enemy Buster day?

Yes. Kills score, but losing your own units subtracts. Shield farm accounts and rally with your alliance instead of trading losses solo.

What is the Alliance Duel double-dip?

The Full Preparedness theme rotates every four hours and the 20:00 block repeats the 08:00 theme, so there are two double-dip windows a day: 08:00–12:00 and 20:00–00:00 Apocalypse Time. Spend inside either window and the same resources score in both events at once.
